Meet Marilyn!

Myself with Rotarians Ron Felson and Ian McMillan. |
After finishing college with a psychology degree, I was introduced to the field of real estate and found it was the best field for me.
Having lived in Elmhurst, Lombard and Villa Park nearly my entire life gives me an edge. I am extremely knowledgeable about the area's schools, neighborhoods and community organizations. My community involvement is important to me. I contribute my time to the Elmhurst, Lombard and Villa Park Morning Rotary Club, my church's women's organization, and to school organizations. One of our Rotary Club's charities has been to a children's camp for diabetes, which is something dear to my heart, as I have been diagnosed with diabetes since 1980.
My son, Ryan, and our puppy, Fritzie. | |
My family includes my son Ryan and our new puppy Fritzie. Ryan is now a college student at Loyola University in Chicago at the Lakeshore campus. Ryan has worked for me for the past few summers as an assistant and has been very valuable as he is majoring in computer science and has been a big help with my computer. We are thoroughly enjoying the antics of our new puppy!
I am dedicated to doing the best job I possibly can for each and every one of my clients- I wish to make them clients for life.

Investment Real Estate >The Key to Good Tenant Relations
It is important to attract and keep great tenants when you own investment property. A good way to begin a positive tenant/landlord relationship is with clear communication about what you expect from your tenants and what they can expect from you.
The written lease agreement spells out the legal obligations of each party. The landlord must ensure that the property is habitable and complies with local codes, and the tenant must pay the rent in a timely manner and not damage the property. Make sure that the terms of the agreement are stated clearly in straightforward language.
Let the tenants know of your commitment to keep the property in good repair and of your desire to know about maintenance problems before they become serious. When it's time for the tenants to move, offer to provide a reference letter if they need one. This is a nice way to say "thank you" to them for having maintained the property during the terms of their lease. Good communication can help you to maintain the quality of your investment.
